We have been experiencing a heat wave! Here are some delicious ketone and electrolyte boosting keto drink recipes to help you survive this amazing British summer!

The Replenisher Keto Drink

   keto drinks

As you transition to ketosis, you are going to feel thirsty. This is because your body processes minerals differently once you are in ketosis. As your body is detoxing, you rapidly eliminate sodium, which also lowers your potassium and magnesium levels.

This means that you absolutely must replenish your electrolytes: sodium, magnesium and potassium!

We highly recommend this hydrating electrolyte replenishing concoction:

Ingredients

    • 1/3 teaspoon of celtic sea salt, volcanic or himalayan salt
    • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon or lime juice
    • Large glass of water
  • 1/4 teaspoon stevia for those with a sweet tooth!

Instructions

Just stir up with ice and enjoy!

Why Magnesium?

Magnesium is critical for energy production, metabolism, muscle contraction, nerve impulse transmission and bone mineralisation. It contributes to muscle recovery and overall relaxation! Which makes this the perfect post-workout keto-friendly drink! Add collagen to increase your muscular & cellular repair.

You can easily transform this recipe into a phenomenal pre-workout drink by adding one scoop of exogenous ketones and a serving of emulsified MCT Oil for that extra ketotic energy boost!

The Fat Burning Iced Mocha Keto Drink

This fat-burning mocha iced coffee is full of healthy fats and collagen, which are going to help fuel your brain, curb your cravings for carbs, and suppress your appetite and boost your energy levels!

This can easily be paleo by subbing out the cream for canned coconut milk (full-fat).

You can also add MCT oil if you are looking to add more fat into your diet. Start with 1/2 tbsp, and work your way up to 1 full tbsp.

Ingredients

  • Freshly brewed coffee
  • 1 serving collagen
  • 1 tbsp MCT Oil or MCT Oil Powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or 1/2 cup f double cream
  • 1 tbsp of grassfed butter or double cream
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

Let the coffee cool for a few minues. Then, blend hot coffee with butter, mct oil or oil powder, collagen, and unsweetened almond milk and or double cream until smooth. Pour over coffee ice cubes. Add cream to taste.

Deliciously refreshing!
